National Fire Protection Association Launches New Campaign

The NFPA launched its new campaign to bring a face to the life saving impact of home fire sprinklers.  The new web-page serves as a resource to building departments, citizens, fire officials and decision makers on the power of home fire sprinklers.

The site is loaded with resources which show the devastating effects that home fires have on people, communities, and responders.

Conference to Kick of this Week (June 7-10, 2010)

Las Vegas plays host to this years National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) conference and exposition.  The program includes 100 educational conferences and nearly 300 exhibitors.

The conference has multiple pre-confernece seminars and officially kicks off at 1:00 pm on June 7, 2010.  The conference typically brings together architects, engineers, fire inspectors, industry, and other interested parties in fire and life safety.

The Best Kept Secret with the National Fire Protection Association

The National Fire Protection Association has been creating codes and standards longer then most of us have been alive.  They have created a system that relies on thousands of volunteers to modify or create standards that affect the way we build buildings, install systems, or use materials.

One of the best resources created by the NFPA is allowing us free access into the codes and standards which many communities adopt and utilize.  I have been a member of NFPA for many years and encourage all of you to join, although this resource may be well worth the membership costs!
